We bought this cooler as a temporary replacement for an RV fridge that failed right before an extended vacation. We looked at multiple reviews and decided this AAOBOSI 12 Volt Car Refrigerator-Portable Car Fridge Freezer Dual Zone, met our needs, but given our experience with other self contained refrigerator coolers we were skeptical. We received the fridge quickly; however our unit, not like other reviews, had, the outside box was clearly labeled as this end up, must keep level. Once we unboxed the unit, the 60 quart seemed small but after the recommended wait period, we were able to load the unit with most of our essentials. The cooler rode in the back of our truck for 8 hours while plugged into the inverter outlet. The temperature rose slightly from -4 to -2 and the fridge area rose slightly as well, but the sun was bright and beating down on the unit all day. There was about a 4-5 degree difference between a small thermometer we placed in the unit and the reading on the control board. The stand alone thermometer had the higher reading. after another 5 hours the next day, we put the cooler in our RV and kept in plugged into 110v for the entire stay (3 weeks). The unit performed great. It kept our items frozen or cold. We kept our set temperatures -4 and 20. The 20 degree side would freeze items on the bottom rather quickly 1 hour +/-, but it took hours for them to freeze on the fridge side. On the way home, we rode through rain for two straight days and the unit never missed a beat. The unit is a little on the heavy side, it is not something you would want to taken out of your vehicle multiple times a day, but the AAOBOSI 12 Volt Car Refrigerator-Portable Car Fridge Freezer Dual Zone 60q is a real winner.
