Short of having an ice maker, this literally is a mini fridge. I will say that this mini fridge is a bit taller than other minifridge but I assume this is due to the freezer being it's own separate section which I like. The fridge is actually not to bad in design. I like the retro look feel. You can use the handles to open and close the door. It is pretty secure. This is a pretty nice small fridge have as back up or just in a dorm room if you wanted. The freeze is definitely bigger than traditional freezers like this. You can put more and it is easier to clean out without needing to open the fridge as well. For the most part though, it has the same amount of space like most mini fridges. There shelving that you can remove as needed. I was able to a good amount of food and drinks inside as well as some frozen dinners. The shelf is a simple pieces that can hold a good amount of weight without sagging or being damaged. This device does hum but not too loud. It is easy to move and clean as needed under the fridge. It does make smaller rooms warmer. When first starting this up, the fridge took about two hours or so to reach the desired temperature but it easily maintains that setting without issue or strain. It does not freeze ice cubes as fast as your traditional freezer but it does work if you want to do that. There are different temperature setting and it is recommend to run it on max before lowering it down to the desired temperature just to get the fridge cold. I have not had any issues with the mechanic part of this. It has run every day and without issues. I have hand no issues with things like food spoiling although i will say DO NOT overfill the fridge. Too much stuff and it will not keep the food chilled very well. There is shelving on the door for drinks and such. Also a small drawer for produce.. Overall I really like this fridge to have for a rentee room or dorm room. I like that it has a separate section for freezer goods and there is more space for it. I do not have to worry too much about icing and I can easily clean it out as needed. It has as bit more space and is taller so make sure you do you measurements. This is taller than most standard mini fridges. It does take time to get cold but it honestly stays chill pretty well. The door holds well so you do not have to worry about it accidentally opening. It does not close by itself so just make sure you properly close it to avoid damaging the mechanics. The looks is nice. I love the retro style look for this. The fridge can hold a good amount and handle the weight of water and milk jugs. The top can get icey but it is easy to clean out as needed.
